MD4 Admission Entrance Exam Topics

Dubai Medical College for Girls (DMCG) Graduate Entry Exam (DGEE) is a multiple-choice examination designed to assess your problem-solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of natural, behavioral, and social science concepts and principles prerequisite to the study of medicine.

Total duration of Exam: 4 hours

Format:
The Graduate entrance test consists of three blocks with a 15-minute break in between the blocks. Each Block is a single best answer type multiple choice question that can be passage-based or discrete.

digestive, respiratory systems with special emphasis on anatomical ethics.
IHB102/02: Describe the normal structure of the cell and its components including the nucleus, other
organelles, and their functions.
IHB102/03: Compare types of cell division, stages of each and aspects of similarity and dissimilarity.
IHB102/04: Describe the four basic tissues of the human body, anatomical terms, movements, planes,
and body regions.
IHB102/05: Describe the reproductive systems, gametogenesis, and the basis of fertilization.
IHB102/06: Explain various stages of embryogenesis.
IHB102/07: Recognize the physiological basis for the cardiovascular, nervous, and endocrine systems.
IHB102/08: Correlate the role of integumentary system to thermoregulation.
IHB102/09: Recognize common microorganisms affecting the human body in terms of their classification
and give examples of diseases caused by them.

HSF208/01: Describe the structure of the different body systems in relation to its functions.   
HSF208/02: Analyze the body’s homeostasis and the physiologic responses to environmental stimuli.  
HSF208/03: Describe the major anatomical components and physiological functions and processes of the bone, skeleton, and muscle. 
HSF208/04: Recognize the major anatomical components and physiological functions and processes of the different circulations.  
HSF208/05: Describe the major anatomical components and physiological functions and   processes of the nervous system.  
HSF208/06: Discuss the major anatomical components and physiological functions and processes of the endocrine system.  
HSF208/07: Relate the structure and functions of the skeleton, muscle, bones, nerves, circulation and hormones to other body components. 

Biochemistry
BIO202/01: Describe the nomenclature, structure, classification, and properties of
carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, DNA and RNA molecules with emphasis on their physiological
importance and clinical correlations.
BIO202/02: Correlate the structure function relationship of different complex biomolecules.
BIO202/03: Recognize the basis of physical chemistry, acid base and electrolyte balance and
their impact on the enzymatic activity, and the relation to metabolic and respiratory disorders.
BIO202/04: Explain the enzymatic structure, classification, kinetics, diagnostic and therapeutic
uses.
BIO202/05: Identify the basic concepts of bioenergetics, the sequence of reactions and
different inhibitors of oxidative phosphorylation, and their clinical, and functional correlation.
BIO202/06: Correlate the concepts of different phases of digestion, absorption of different
biomolecules with related disorders.
BIO202/07: Recognize basic laboratory instruments, techniques of physical chemistry,
molecular separation, purification, and the effect of different factors on enzymatic activity.

NAM209/01: Recognize the biochemical basis related to different metabolic, genetic and acquired disorders such as diabetes, obesity, starvation and atherosclerosis.  
NAM209/02: Describe the basic nutritional requirements, including different macro and micronutrients, and the effect of their imbalance.
