Breast Cancer Awareness at Dubai Medical College for Girls

Dubai Medical College for Girls conducted a successful breast cancer awareness event, om 25th October 2022 to educate students and faculty alike on breast cancer. some common facts and a brief presentation about the topic were shared by DMCG year 5 students, followed by a breast self-examination on mannequins as well highlighting the importance of early detection that improves survival rates. multiple activities and entertaining carnival games took place to make the event more memorable for students and faculty.

Additionally, an important mission of Dubai medical college for girls is to serve the community. 

Dr. Sahar Abdel Maqsoud, acting chair of Department of Public Health and Behavioral Sciences, and Dr. Iman Abdeen, lecturer of Public Health were invited to organize a breast cancer awareness session in New Academy School, Dubai. There was a brief talk followed by a motivational session encouraging women to conduct breast examination. It was a successful awareness event targeting senior students and teachers of the school.
