World Influenza Day: Fighting Flu Together

On World Influenza Day, Dubai Medical College for Girls (DMCG) collaborated with Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls (DPCG), the College of Nursing, and Emirates Health Services (EHS) to host an impactful event aimed at raising awareness about influenza and the critical importance of vaccination.
The event featured an engaging educational stall that provided valuable information about the influenza virus, proper hand hygiene, and post-vaccine care.Additionally, a free vaccination drive was organized by the EHS team, offering vaccines to the DMU community, including students, staff, faculty, and even friends and family.

We were honored to have Dr. Radwa Saad Al Tokhy, Public Health Physician and Public Health Education and Promotion Coordinator at EHS, as our keynote speaker. Dr. Radwa shared the latest research, effective preventive measures, and strategies to combat flu outbreaks, making the session both enlightening and practical.

The event brought together students, faculty, healthcare professionals, and the wider community, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in promoting global health initiatives. It was a day filled with learning, connection, and proactive steps toward a healthier future
